Lynne Arany's fondest memories are of rambling sidetrips along the byways of America in her gold Corvair. A writer and designer, she is the coauthor of The Reel List: A Categorical Companion to over 2,000 Memorable Films. She is also the founder of Ink Projects, a book development firm.

Archie Hobson is an author and editor whose books include Remembering America: A Sampler of the WPA American Guide Series and the Cambridge Gazetteer of the United States and Canada. As a child he collected enough baseball cards to open his own little museum, and he still rues the day he lost track of them all.

Both authors live in New York City.
